Where can I get phone software ?I have a sony ericsson w850i mobile phone but don't have the cd with the software that enables you to link the phone with the computer.Can anyone tell me where to go to download the software. Cheers !

Every Month you should dial *228 then option #1. That will update your phones roaming capabilities. To update the actual phone software bring it to a Verizon store and they will do it there for free. IT will take about an hour.
Don't call your service provider.. They won't help you!! Trust me!
Try calling your Phone Manufacturer which is Samsung..

google maps Mobile is free, and all that “simulated GPS” is in Google Maps Mobile… so it suits my needs as is.

Try the network or better inquire into a mobile phone technician. they might have special applications or programs regarding this matter. Nothing is impossible.
Yeah but I feel terrible because when I did this crappy out-of-focus video in Dec ‘08, I wasn’t sure how the GPS function managed to work so well on Google Maps… At that time I didn’t know it was achieved by cell-tower distance triangulation and interpolation.
This video is obsolete, but I keep it posted just as an illustration of how many things have been possible on the WING that you’d never hear about or see at T-Mobile.

In 2007 Google rolled out Mobile Google Maps 2.0, which uses the positions of nearby cell phone towers to triangulate your location. They claim accurate to within 300 meters, and I’d say that’s accurate.
The value here isn’t for “turn by turn directions”, but to help you figure out where you are on Google Maps — for example you’re trying to find a freeway entrance or offramp. Amazingly helpful.

You need to buy a Bluetooth dongle/adapter/radio for your PC. They come with software that you need to install to activate it. Next you might need Motorola Mobile Device Drivers which you can download at;

i thought the only way to get ur gps positioning is thru using a GPS receiver.
