I bought one as a Christmas present. It came with XP Home. Quick and uneventful to configure. Does not seem particularly slow to work with. Comfortable keyboard. Weak sound, but on the other hand if someone wants Hi-Fi, he would need external speakers/headphones anyway. The built-in speakers and microphone proved completely adequate for Skype. This small Samsung makes me reconsider the need for a conventional laptop. For demanding computing tasks I use a desktop anyway (the cooling issue is vital). For mobile applications (presentations, some programming, watching a movie on the airplane, browsing the Internet or simply sitting on a sofa and reading an e-book) a netbook like N130 with its Intel Atom is enough. Now the issue of price comes into play – a review without discussing the price/features balance would be incomplete. I would NOT pay $320-350 for such a device. But at $279.99 it is attractive. I have bought another one for myself (managed to order before the seller increased the price).

Santa brought this to my son for Christmas, but the hard drive failed within the first few hours. I returned it and hopefully Santa’s replacement works better.

I got this netbook for under 300 dollars and for the price, it was worth it.
Pros: The end prevents hideous fingerprints, it runs well, it’s quick to set up, it’s simple to upgrade memory to 2GB, and it’s battery life (5hrs+…very rare to find it at the price I got it for). Windows XP isn’t too terrible but I plot to upgrade to Windows 7.
Cons: Sound and the webcam is kinda choppy.
The sound can be fixed, but, with a pair of headphones or desktop speakers and the monitor is set at a comfortable level. For those with huge hands, the keyboard may take some getting used to but it’s no problem. Considering I’m using this netbook to surf the web, stay in touch with people, type up documents, and do basic Microsoft office apps, it is just what I need at a very portable package. Overall a excellent buy.

Like this netbook. Had to return the first one I got because it had a sound problem. Don’t like the white interior as much as my original slate blue one but overall its fantastic. Much quicker after I removed McAffee and installed AVG free. Now I need an external optical drive.
