LG is one of the many brands of cellular phones for sale today that are quickly rising in the market. Though LG is known as a home appliance manufacturer, LG have also started its mobile appliance business since 1996. The KP500 (aka LG Cookie) is a touchscreen mobile phone manufactured by LG Electronics. LG targeted the entry-level touchscreen market (competing with iPhone) keeping the cost of the KP500 as low as possible by omitting some of the features found on high-end products, such as GPS, 3G or Wi-Fi. For example, in the UK, the KP500 is available for less than £100 from the Carphone Warehouse on an O2 Pay As You Go contract.
The phone was originally released in four colors including Black, Vandyke Brown, Anodizing Silver, and Elegant Gold, but is now available in ten colors, with more plotted. LG plans to expand the KP500’s availability from 40 to 60 countries as part of its push to hit 10 million in sales worldwide.
LG Cookie Main Features
- 3-inch, 240 x 400 pixel touchscreen.
- The KP500 also contains an accelerometer motion sensor with support for auto-rotating show.
- It has a 3.2 MP Camera with MPEG-4 video capture at 12 frame/s.
- There is support for video playback up to 29 frames per second.
- The KP500 has a FM radio with RDS.
- Other software include a document viewer for DOC, XLS, and PDF formats, and a Java MIDP 2.0 games player. Standby time is up to 350 hours and talk time is up to 3 hours 30 minutes.
LG Cookie Sales
The LG KP500 has recorded over two million unit sales worldwide in the five months since its launch in December 2008, a milestone many have stated. It has sold 1.2 million units in Europe, 600,000 units in Asia and emerging markets, and 100,000 in Korea, where LG claims that as of March 2009, it is the most well loved cellular phones for sale across Asia.
LG Cookie Defects
There hasn’t been many defects reported. Some common defects that were told was BSOD (Blue Screen of Death). This problem was mainly associated with the phone’s firmware ” KP500AT_V10c” . Other than this problem there hasn’t been any issues with the phone.

Included with your phone should be a mini CD called LG PC Suite. This will enable your computer via USB to transfer all files (music / contacts / photos etc).
Hiya Robbie! You need to download your chosen video onto a PC disk,and then send it via the phones USB cable! Go to Settings on your phone,select General scroll down to Connection,and select USB,open and choose an option to Sync to the PC!
Send Pictures From Cell Phone to Computer:
a) Go to the "MMS" or "multimedia message" menu on the cell phone
b) Choose the "options" softkey below the screen, or "Add" on some mobile phones and select "image" from the list.
c) Select the options menu again and select "Add recepient" or "send to". This varies depending on type of cell phones.
d) Enter the email address you wish to send the picture(s) to and press "send"
e) That's it, the picture will now be sent from the cellphone via email to the receivers email address where they can simply check their email and see the attached picture(s)
ok well it kinda depends what format music your phone can have on it but a excellent site for downloading music is http://isohunt.com then download Vuze..(it has a picture of a white from on a blue background) and use that to search for mucis, movies etc.
It is P2P sharing so i believe it is a legal and FREE site to download off of.
I am 14 too and music has never been a major issue with me.
Once you download the music just place it onto your phone via a USB connection.
